Dr.Saad Ghazal Aswad

Dr. Aswad is a graduate of Aleppo University with a Doctorate of Medicine (1980). He completed his postgraduate training in the United Kingdom in General Surgery & Urology and Obstetrics and Gynaecology (1982-1989). Dr. Aswad was later awarded membership at the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) in the United Kingdom (1988). He specialized at the Gynaecological Oncology Unit at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Gateshead, the most significant female cancer unit in the United Kingdom (1989-93). He subsequently attained his Doctorate of Philosophy from the University of Newcastle and was appointed as a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, Gynaecological Oncologist, and lecturer at the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne (1993-1998).

Upon moving to the United Arab Emirates, he was appointed as an Associate Professor at the College of Medicine & Health Sciences (CMHS) and Consultant at Tawam Hospital (1989-2006), where he later became the Chair of Department in Tawam Hospital (2006-2011). Furthermore, Dr. Aswad has established services for Ain Al-Khaleej Hospital (2011-2013) as the Medical Director during the trust’s start before returning to Tawam Hospital with his re-appoint-ment as Consultant and Chair of Department at Tawam (2013-2019) and as Adjunct Professor at CMHS.
